I stumbled across an article the other day that noted unusual collective nouns for animals. \u00a0For example, a group of crows is referred to as a “murder of crows.” \u00a0 Some other examples are \u00a0a “coalition of cheetahs,” a “convocation of eagles, a “mob of kangaroos,” \u00a0an “unkindness of ravens,” a “drove of asses,” and an “embarrassment of pandas.”<\/p>\n
In the patent community, we don’t really have any collective nouns for patent professionals. \u00a0So, I thought it might be good to get the ball rolling. \u00a0Here are some possibilities with some left blank for you to exercise your imagination.<\/p>\n
A shrewdness of patent prosecutors. \u00a0(FYI, “shrewdness” is also used for a “shrewdness of apes.”)<\/p>\n
An ambush of patent litigators. \u00a0(An “ambush of tigers” is already in use.)<\/p>\n
A gauntlet of patent trolls.<\/p>\n
A bellowing of patent bloggers.<\/p>\n
A cacophony of patent blog commentators.<\/p>\n
A wisdom of PTAB judges. \u00a0(“Wisdom” is currently used for a “wisdom of wombats.”)<\/p>\n
