Since a large percentage of high-stakes\u00a0patent cases are appealed to the Federal Circuit, I thought it might be of use to in-house counsel to list at least one person’s view of the top oral advocates for patent cases at the Federal Circuit.\u00a0 This first list is from cases decided during\u00a0the year 2006.\u00a0\u00a0(Because I\u00a0typically listen to the recordings of the\u00a0oral arguments in my car on my drive to and from work, please take note that my impressions\u00a0can be\u00a0influenced by how\u00a0frustrating traffic is on any particular day.)\u00a0 Generally,\u00a0these advocates\u00a0were\u00a0knowledgeable of patent law, articulate, zealous, and persuasive.<\/p>\n
